Tenant-Site Privacy Notice

1. About this notice

You are most likely reading this because you followed a footer link from a local business's site at {slug}.servicelocal.ai. That site is operated by an independent business (the "Business") that uses ServiceLocal as the software platform behind its website, booking page, AI receptionist, and customer-relationship tools.

This document is a single, standard privacy notice that applies to all sites powered by us. It describes what information flows where when you interact with a Business through one of these sites, who decides what happens to that information, and how to exercise your privacy rights.

2. Who is the controller of your data

The Business you contacted is the controller of your personal information (the "business" or "operator" under U.S. state privacy laws — including CCPA / CPRA in California, and equivalent laws in other states). That means the Business decides what to do with your information and is the party responsible for honouring your privacy rights.

Exige SARL (operating as ServiceLocal) is the service provider / processor. We run the technical platform on the Business's behalf and only handle your information based on the Business's instructions and the configuration they set.

This means:

3.3 What is NOT retained

4. How the information is used

The Business uses the information you provide to:

We use the information solely to operate the platform on behalf of the Business — for example, to deliver the voice call to the right account, generate a summary, store the booking record, deliver email confirmations, and bill the Business for its use of the platform.

We do not use end-customer information to train general-purpose machine-learning models, and we do not sell or share end-customer personal information within the meaning of CCPA / CPRA.

5. Subprocessors used to operate the platform

We use the following third-party services to run the platform. Each is contractually bound to use the information only to provide the function described.

ElevenLabsVoice receptionist speech-to-text and text-to-speech (audio and transcripts deleted per our configuration)

The Business may additionally use third-party services we do not control (their own CRM, marketing tool, payment processor for the work performed, etc.). Those are between you and the Business.

6. Hosting and data location

Customer data is hosted on infrastructure located in the European Union (Hetzner). The platform is targeted at the United States market. Personal information may be processed by our subprocessors in the United States and other countries as part of their normal operations.

7. Retention

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on the U.S. state in which you reside, you may have rights including:

Submit your request to the Business, using the contact details on the page you came from. The Business is the controller of your information and is the right party to respond.

If, after contacting the Business, you have a question that specifically concerns how the platform handles data (rather than the Business's own use of it), you can email [email protected] and we will assist the Business where appropriate.

9. AI disclosure

The voice line and chat surfaces on sites powered by us may be answered by an AI assistant. The AI identifies itself as an AI assistant in its greeting and is permitted to confirm that it is an AI when asked directly.

You may ask to speak to a human at any time. Depending on how the Business has configured the receptionist, the call may be transferred to a human or you may be invited to leave a message or callback request.

10. Children

The platform and the Business's site are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the platform. If you believe a child has provided information through one of these sites, contact the Business, or contact us at [email protected], and the information will be deleted in accordance with applicable law.

11. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging, and segregated environments. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The current version is always posted at https://servicelocal.ai/legal/tenant-site-privacy with the version number and effective date.
