What this covers
A lawn that struggles usually has a reason underneath it: compacted fill left by a builder, low spots that hold water, heavy shade, or thin soil over rock. A new-lawn request starts by finding that reason, so the new turf is not laid over the same problem.
A sound installation runs in order: removing what is there, grading for drainage, preparing and amending the soil, and installing sod or seed suited to the light. Ask for watering and first-mowing guidance for the new lawn.
