Removal is a rigging problem before it is a cutting one.

Whether a tree can simply be felled or has to come down piece by piece depends on what is under it and how close the crew can get.

Tree Removal work by Stonepine Tree Care

What this covers

A removal request starts with the things that cannot be changed: which way the tree leans, what sits inside the drop zone, whether there is decay at the base or in a major union, and how close the equipment can be positioned. Those four answers decide whether a tree is felled in one piece or dismantled from the top down on ropes.

Access usually matters more than size. A large tree in an open back lot can be simpler than a medium one wedged between a garage and a fence line. Stonepine looks at the route in, the ground conditions, and what would have to be protected or moved before quoting any approach.

How a request works

1

You describe the tree

Where it stands, what you have noticed, and what is underneath it.

2

The site is assessed

Lean, decay, access, and drop zone are reviewed in person before any method is proposed.

3

Scope is agreed

The business confirms the approach and the cleanup with you before any work is scheduled.

Tree Removal questions

Not always. An assessment may find that a reduction, deadwood removal, or support hardware addresses the concern. Removal is one option among several, and the business reviews the trade-offs of each with you.
That is agreed as part of the scope. Brush is normally chipped on site, and the wood can be cut to length and left, or taken away. Say which you prefer when you request the assessment.
Protecting the ground is part of planning the removal. Where equipment has to cross soft ground or beds, the route and the protection get discussed with you before the day rather than improvised on it.

Bring the details. We will discuss the possibilities.

The most useful starting point is the property as it is today.

Tree location, the changes you have noticed, site access and what is underneath the canopy help explain your request.

Ask what the visit covers, whether it carries a charge, and what is needed for a project estimate.
